Campers will be challenged to problem-solve and work together as a group. Campers will have the opportunity to spend time with members of the Animal Care Team and will engage in animal care responsibilities focused on research and welfare. Join us as we explore minds-on, hands-on activities that engage campers in what it means to be an Animal Care Specialist. Campers will be engaged in science, art and Zoo exploration to articulate the amazing attributes of a species and the ways we can help protect it.Īnimal Care Specialist - Vet Team: What does it take to care for over 1,000 individual animals, and how do we ensure that every member of Zoo Atlanta’s animal population receives the highest quality care possible? Campers will have the opportunity to learn about some of the most endangered animals at Zoo Atlanta and will then design a campaign to raise awareness for a species in need. Zoo's Clues: There’s a mystery in the Zoo, and we need your camper to solve it! Spend the week uncovering clues and playing detective to find out what wild antics are happening at Zoo Atlanta.

Movin' and Groovin': How does a snake slither and why do orangutans swing through the trees? Join us for a week of exploration as we make connections between animal movement and the physics behind those moves. *There is no guarantee that campers will be allowed in behind-the-scenes areas.
